American Drug Testing’s Five-Step Drug-Free Workplace Program as designed by the U.S. Department of Labor.

STEP 1 - Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy

It’s critical that your company have a clear, detailed, and up-to-date Drug and Alcoholyour drug free workplace policy covers all aspects of employee drug testing Abuse Policy.  American Drug Testing will construct a  policy specifically designed for the protection of your company and employees (using the most up-to-date information from the U.S. Department of Labor, S.C. State Employment Laws, S.C. State Workman's Compensation Laws, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Drug Free Workplace Act, American's With Disabilities Act (ADA), Labor Law Attorneys, and select Fortune 500 Companies).  This policy covers Purpose, Scope, Procedures, Violation consequences, Employer's rights, Employee's rights, and a signed/witnessed agreement statement.  If you like, we can will review the policy in detail and explain each section to your employees and supervisors — answering questions about the policy, a drug-free workplace, or drug testing.  This procedure provides your employees with the understanding they need, and gives your company improved legal protection and reduced liability to lawsuits (The policy has been reviewed by attorneys and is well-proven in court.  However, once your company adopts this policy as its own, American Drug Testing Inc. assumes no liability for its use.) 

STEP 2 - Supervisor Training

Supervisors need to recognize the signs of drug or alcohol use.  American Drug Testing's Educate your supervisors about workplace drug testingweb-based Supervisor Training Program provides the tools and medical knowledge necessary to determine the physical, behavioral, speech, and performance indicators of alcohol and drug use. STEP 3 - Educating Your Employees

STEP 4 - Providing Employee Assistance

EAP's help employees identify and understand their problems, and then get help through referrals for counseling and treatment.  Although many companies have a zero tolerance for drug abuse and thus terminate the employee, these companies still provide information on the help that is available in the community.  For each person who is positive on a drug or alcohol test while on the job, American Drug Testing will counsel and refer each employee for help. 

STEP 5 - Drug Testing
